Amy French

Amy French was born in the late 1930s and her younger sister Lily Long(Jatarr) around 1940 at Karlamilyi (Rudall River). The sisters grew up together around Tiwa and have both worked at various stations in the Pilbara. After coming in to Jigalong, Amy worked at Bonney Downs and several stations around Meekatharra.

Amy and Lily now live in Nullagine with their children and grandchildren. Amy and Lily paint individually and also collaboratively, sharing stories and Country. They have exhibited extensively since the inception of MMA in 2006, including in galleries in Australia and Singapore.
